Conference for County Churches Trusts

The 2014 Conference for County Churches Trusts takes place on Thursday 15 May 2014 at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, London WC2.

 

Under the theme of 'Diversity - helping churches, chapels and meeting houses today'. the conference will bring together local representatives from County Churches Trusts, who work to restore and repair churches and chapels and meeting houses, and national church and heritage organisations.

 

Key note speakers at the Conference will include:

 

Zoe van Zwanenberg, from the Good Society Project of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, who will talk about church-based and faith groups’ contribution to society.

Kate Streeter, Project Manager of The SPAB Maintenance Cooperatives Project, who will examine the latest trends in church maintenance and the importance of staving off decay by daily care.

Diana Evans, Head of Listed Places of Worship Advice, English Heritage and National Churches Trust Grants Committee member, who will talk about English Heritage: the future, partnerships and collaboration.

Sarah Holloway, Heritage Open Days Coordinator, who will talk about Heritage Open Days and visitor experiences and the participation of places of worship in Heritage Open Days.

The conference is a Churches Trust Forum event organised and administered with the support of the National Churches Trust.
