The Vacancy in See Committee 2019-2021

Nominations are now open for the next term of office of the Vacancy in See Committee.

We are seeking:

• THREE clergy members (one from each Archdeaconry), each of whom must be beneficed or licensed under seal by the Bishop of the Diocese. 

Candidates must be nominated and seconded by, and will be elected by, members of the House of Clergy of Diocesan Synod.

• SIX lay members (two from each Archdeaconry), each of whom must be actual communicant members of the Church of England, and on the Electoral Roll of a parish in the Diocese. 

Candidates must be nominated and seconded by, and will be elected by,  members of the House of Laity of Diocesan Synod.

Nominations should reach the Returning Officer not later than 12 noon on Monday 12 November 2018.

Don't forget to notify the Diocesan Office of any changes to your Deanery Synod representatives and parochial officers. This information is vital for other elections and keeping our database up to date.
