Friday 18th May 2018 09:30Dying MattersDying Matters: Meeting Myths, Discovering Facts and Exploring Implications

Friday 18 May 2018, 9.30am – 2.30pm at University Hospital Lewisham

Free lunch provided

To coincide with national Dying Matters Week (14-20 May), the Chaplaincy team at University Hospital Lewisham is hosting a friendly and relaxed morning at which there will be presentations and opportunity for discussion about end of life, palliative care, organ donation and medical ethics.

‘We know through the work within our hospitals that these can be difficult issues for people to engage with.’
This event is for faith, belief and community leaders who:
• want to know more about end of life, palliative care, organ donation and medical ethics
• want to express their views and faith concerns and those of the communities they serve
• want help in answering questions from their own communities about the cultural and religious beliefs that might prevent someone understanding palliative and end of life care or becoming an organ donor or recipient

Places are limited, so to book your place, please email me, Reverend Kevin Parkes, Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care Team Leader at kevinparkes@nhs.net by Tuesday 1st May. Once we have received your booking, a programme for the morning and a map of where to find the venue will be sent to you.
