New honorary canons

Belated congratulations go to the Rev Pamela Ive - Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Vocations and Deacon at All Saints', Tudeley, and the Rev Alyson Davie - Priest in charge of Meopham with Nurstead and Chair of the House of Clergy at Diocesan Synod, both of whom were recently made honorary canons at Rochester Cathedral .

Honorary canon positions are offered in recognition of a person's service and dedication to their diocese and church community, so congratulations to them both.

They are the latest of 3 other members of the Diocese who have been received into the Cathedral this year. They include: the Rev Canon Rachael Knapp, in recognition of her work as a school chaplain; the Rev Canon Dr Nick Read for his contribution in the ministries of healing and restoration and his work with the Living Well initiative; and the Rev Canon Mark Barker in recognition of his work at St Stephen’s and more widely within the Tonbridge area particularly in relation to ecumenical work.

Congratulations to them all.
