The Vacancy in See Committee 2019-2021

Following the recent election process, we have a number of casual vacancies that still need to be filled.  We are seeking:-

  • ONE clergy member (from Bromley & Bexley Archdeaconry), who must be beneficed or licensed under seal by the Bishop of the Diocese.Candidates must be nominated and seconded by, and will be elected by, members of the House of Clergy of Diocesan Synod.
  • FOUR lay members (one from Bromley & Bexley Archdeaconry, Two from Rochester Archdeaconry, and one from Tonbridge Archdeaconry), each of whom must be actual communicant members of the Church of England, and on the Electoral Roll of a parish in the Diocese.Candidates must be nominated and seconded by, and will be elected by, members of the House of Laity of Diocesan Synod.

Finance Committee 2019 - 2022

We are seeking:-

  • THREE clergy members (one from each Archdeaconry), who must be licenced within the same Archdeaconry as their proposer and seconder, both of whom must be members of the House of Clergy of Diocesan Synod.
  • THREE lay members (one from each Archdeaconry), who must be on the Electoral Roll of a parish within the same Archdeaconry as their proposer and seconder, both of whom must be members of the House of Laity of Diocesan Synod.

Annual Parochial Church Meetings

When it's time to prepare for your Annual Parochial Church Meeting you will need various forms, which you can download by clicking on the links below.

Don't forget to notify the Diocesan Office of any changes to your Deanery Synod representatives and parochial officers. This information is vital for other elections and keeping our database up to date.

The necessary forms for APCMs can be found here - http://www.parishresources.org.uk/pccs/apcms/ Parishes should always use this site as their reference point for these forms, as it will be updated if requirements change at any point.

NOTE: There is no need for the electoral roll application form to be amended in order to comply with the data protection legislation.  The requirements of article 6 of the GDPR are met because the processing of the data a person inserts in the form is processing that is required by law. 

The requirements of article 9 are met because the data which are to be processed are – as a result of the provisions of the CRRs that automatically result in the roll being published – data which are manifestly made public by the data subject.  Accordingly, there is not need to obtain the data subject’s consent for the processing
