This role enables me to share my passion about seeing people coming to faith in Jesus Christ because their lives have been transformed by the work, words and actions of local churches as we love and serve our neighbours whoever they may be. Helping and enabling community engagement in this way is diverse and covers many areas including:

  • Identifying and equipping those responding to community needs.
  • Setting up outreach such as Messy Church, Community Cafés, WLTDO? – Who Let The Dads Out? etc.
  • Promoting partnerships with statutory agencies, local agencies and groups such as Men in Sheds, etc.
  • Social Action projects such as Winter Night Shelters, Foodbanks, Community Gardening, etc.
  • Responsible Credit and Credit Union projects.
  • Gathering and equipping volunteers who are keen to make a difference.

Caroline is also a Licensed Lay Worker and Commissioned Evangelist

I am Associate Vicar at St. Stephen’s, Tonbridge and have a half-time role as Community Chaplain in the West Kent area, offering chaplaincy to organisations in the community who work with very diverse groups of people.  For example, Kenward Trust who work with drug and alcohol addiction recovery and West Kent YMCA who work with teenagers in difficulty.
