As a team we are responsible for providing a range of Communication services to the diocese. These include:

  • The diocese’s monthly e-newsletter  (first Thursday of every month)
  • Support and training for parishes on publicity and social media
  • Design of publicity and printed material
  • Development of the Diocesan website and online booking system
  • Overseeing the diocesan Facebook and Twitter feeds
  • Liaison with press and broadcast media
  • Crisis management support for clergy and officers
  • Audio and videos podcasts and films

Jennifer Ross comes to PR and Communications from a broadcasting background, having worked for nearly a decade in the BBC’s Religion and Ethics Department as part of the Radio unit, producing programme’s such as Radio 4’s Sunday Programme and Beyond Belief. She has since worked in Communications for the Church of England in east Kent as part of both the Communities and Partnerships and Communications team at the Diocese of Canterbury. In the Diocese of Rochester she leads on external and internal communications.

Katerina Gerhardt has a Bachelor of Arts Business Administration degree from the Tallinn University of Technology and has a particular expertise in digital communications. She is a photographer and graphic designer.
