The Mpwapwa and Rochester Diocesan link was formed in 2005, during a visit led by Rev Canon David Kitley to both Mpwapwa and Kondoa Dioceses. The Diocese is part of the Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT) and a member of the Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT). The current Bishop is the Rt Rev Jacob Chimeledya, who also served as Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Tanzania from 20013-May 2018. His wife, Mwezwa, is President of the Mothers’ Union in the Diocese. Please click here to download the latest Handbook to our Companion Diocese of Mpwapwa, Tanzania.
