The BBC Two's documentary about the abuse by Peter Ball and the Church's subsequent handling of the case, which aired on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 of January, is a harrowing but important watch for all within The Church of England.
It is available to watch here on the BBCiPlayer: https://bbc.in/2ToplHi
In order to allow us to further hear the voice of victims and survivors of church-related abuse, we are purchasing 20 copies of the book - 'Letters to a Broken Church' to be shared across the Diocese on a 'read and share' basis.
The national church has issued an official response to the documentary from Bishop Peter Hancock, the Church of England's lead safeguarding bishop, which you can read here:
As we have the opportunity to reflect again on the devastating impact of church-related abuse on survivors and victims, a series of prayers written by Archdeacon Julie Conalty - in consultation with a survivor - are available here for all to use: https://bit.ly/2QUtwZ
