Canoeing, fencing, abseiling, as well as worship and bible sessions were all part of the seventh Annual Youth Council residential which took place in September.
Over the three days, 20 young people aged 12 to 19, came together from across the three archdeaconries to discover, discern and explore their values and influences.

Taking place at Kingswood Grosvenor Hall in Ashford, the young people also reflected on the things they can as Youth Council members to serve and represent children and young people from the wider diocesan community.
"Being a member of Youth Council is a great opportunity to see all the other projects and ministry that is happening in parishes across the Diocese," said Charlotte O'Leary from Bromley and Bexley Archdeaconry, "especially when, like me, there aren’t a lot of young people in your own church. It really encourages you in your own faith journey."
During sessions reflecting on 'Peter the Rock', the Youth Council discovered Peter's example of being chosen by Christ and the ministry he was given, and how this related to their own lives and being closer to the God.
Catherine Cave, Youth Leader at St Stephen's, Chatham remarked: "The timing and content of the residential has been so appropriate to help the group grow in such a positively healthy spirit.”
Cheryl Trice, Children & Young People’s Mission & Ministry Team Leader, said: "As always the weekend goes far too quickly but we look forward to future adventures such as our roadshow events exploring Vocation, Mental Health First Aid and, How to Stay Safe.
"We pray that the newer members feel valued and fully included into the life of the Diocesan Youth Council."
