About our Parish and Church
St Stephen's Church is the Parish Church for South Tonbridge with a vision to be a church that is passionate to know God and to make God known. With a rising population of approximately 15,600 people, the town of Tonbridge is in the beautiful countryside that forms the Weald of Kent, midway between London and the South Coast of England. The town has a mainline railway station giving fast and regular services to the coast and London. Tonbridge has plenty to offer with extensive parks and leisure opportunities, excellent schools and good shopping facilities. The M25, M2 and M20 are within easy reach making Tonbridge a popular and growing commuter town.

- A heart for encouraging discipleship and spreading the gospel to younger adults.
- An understanding of and experience in building relationships with this age group.

- Experience of working with volunteers in building, inspiring, leading and equipping teams.
- The desire to work collaboratively as part of the wider staff team.
- The management experience to successfully oversee and co-ordinate those areas of ministry relating to young adults and their families, as part of the leadership team.
We are offering:
- A leading role in developing a worshipping community of young adults and families.
- Inclusion in services and pastoral care across the wider congregation.
- Involvement in the future development of our strategic plan.
- The support of a committed and friendly staff and volunteer team.
- The opportunity to become part of the local community in a popular area of Kent, with easy access to London and the countryside and a range of good and outstanding schools.
