Are you an experienced and organised administrator who is keen to support the Diocesan Safeguarding Team in developing and implementing effective safeguarding policy and practice in the Church of England?
If so, then you could be the person we are looking for.  The Diocese of Rochester is looking for a Safeguarding Support Assistant to work within the safeguarding team.


This role will provide support to the Safeguarding Team and the wider diocese and contribute to the dioceses commitment to promoting a safe and healthy culture.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to a range of parish queries including questions on policies, the administrative process of the online DBS system, and assist them where necessary, including the appointment of Lead Recruiters.  Administer the blemished DBS process.
  • Manage advertising and booking of safeguarding training events, venues, delegates, trainers, assistants, certificates etc.
  • Work with diocesan databases to ensure audit compliance and effective Management Information by managing data input and creating and running reports in My Concern (Case Management System)
  • Support the Safeguarding Team in the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to help ensure the quality and impact of safeguarding support.
  • Attend and take minutes at safeguarding meetings as required.

An experienced administrator with strong attention to detail who can work to deadlines.  You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively.  
Candidates should have a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
